A little about each of the opportunities I have been given!
As a student manager for the University of Colorado-Boulder Division 1 women's volleyball team, I am able to work in many different aspects.
Some of these aspects include:
- Inventory (shoes, uniforms, equipment, etc.).
- Situate laundry including washing/drying, folding, and putting away in respective locker rooms.
-Help facilitate equipment throughout the CU Events Center.
- Set up and take down nets and other equipment before and after volleyball practices.
- Helping out at volleyball practices in order for an efficient practice
- Keep volleyball games running smoothly by rolling and tossing balls to the players for faster game flow.
Since I work heavily with players, coaches, and other staff, I am able to learn a lot about running a collegiate team, and getting my foot in the door with sport experts.
While doing this 2023 Summer internship with a climbing business like Events.com, I was able to understand all the wonders of keeping a business running.
My everyday work included:
- Attended sales, operations, and monthly meetings.
- Made comparison sheets between Events.com and their competitors.
- Researched and contacted events that Events.com could potentially partner with (festivals, conventions, wine tasting, etc.).
- Helped with policy work in HR.
- Assisted in operations by ordering shipments and file organizing.
I hope with my experience at Events.com at the San Diego office, I will be able to put my newfound knowledge on business into my next opportunities.
As a Field Staff for the PRA Denver office, my opportunities with this DMC (Destination Management Company) varies on a day-to-day basis.
This consists of:
- On-ground ambassador.
- Orchestrates seamless experiences for travelers.
- Possessed in-depth local knowledge.
- Coordinating logistics, tours, and activities, ensuring every aspect of the journey is meticulously executed.
I am still hoping to learn more about what working with a DMC entails, so I am grateful for the opportunity to do so.
While working with LEARFIELD during the CU Football 2023 season, I was able to see how sponsorships and media power the experience of a college football game.
My game day work included:
- Seasonally assisted with Learfield Buffalo Sports Properties for CU Buffs Football.
- Monitored and tracked advertisements displayed at the games.
- Reviewed marketing script in order to stay on track of the game.
I believe my experience with LEARFIELD has helped me see more aspects of sports entertainment and how it will help me in the future.
While working seasonally for San Diego Golf Reservations, my tasks include, but are not limited to:
-Handle customer inquiries and data management, ensuring smooth operations.
-With keen attention to detail and communication skills, contributed to the company's marketing efforts, promoting golf experiences effectively.
My opportunities in this program provide a vital link between the company and the university community. I embody Adobe's values, promoting products, organizing events, and fostering engagement on campus. I inspire fellow students to explore Adobe's innovative tools, enhancing their academic and professional endeavors.
